Distance Covered:

After a big breakfast at the guest house we headed down to the estuary to see if the easterly would fill in enough for Jules to get out for a sail.

There were a fair few jet skis and ski boats out there which rather put her off after her last experience of them in the estuary.

Anyway after a sun bathe and a walk the wind u-turned to the NW and was soon 10-12 knots.

So off the the golf course for a swim in the surf at high tide then a play with the power kite on the beach.

A couple of kiters went out and at first were drifting down wind but then started to hold ground so out with the 9.0m.

Al got hold of the 17m kite as well so we went out for a nice session in the sunshine.

I was fully powered up today blasting around. Had a few runs racing Al on that kite, seemed pretty evenly matched for speed. Some dry gybes too on the monster board.

Then a quick BBQ by the sea wall to round off the day.

Dave and Sarah came out and launched just as I was packing up.

Nice day in glorious weather, much better than expected.
